**Fourth Annual OWASP Campout** Come join us for our **fourth annual OWASP campout**! This is not a conference, training, workshop, or security agenda in disguise. No slide decks. No threat modeling exercises. No one is going to make you explain OAuth around a campfire. This is just a relaxed chance to hang out with other security, technology, and software professionals in the mountains, enjoy the outdoors, and get to know people outside of work and conference mode. Families are welcome! **Location** We’ll be camping at [Bear Canyon Campground, Group Site A](https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232226), in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest near the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway. Group Site A is a large group campsite with picnic tables, serving tables, grills, campfire rings, paved roads/paths, and room for tents, trailers, and RVs up to 30 feet. **Important Campground Details** Full information is available on recreation.gov: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232226 Please read this part so nobody shows up unprepared: * **Check-in:** 3:00 PM * **Checkout:** 12:00 PM * **No running water is available at the campsite** * Bring all water you need for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and handwashing * Porta-potties are available for Group Site A * This is a **pack-it-in, pack-it-out** campground, so bring trash bags and plan to haul out your own garbage * Quiet hours are **10:00 PM to 6:00 AM** * Gates close at **10:00 PM** * This is bear country, so food and trash need to be stored securely **Food** Please **bring your own food, snacks, drinks, and cooking supplies**. There is no shared meal plan, so plan as if you are responsible for feeding yourself and anyone coming with you. That said, if you want to bring something to share, no one is going to complain about bonus camp snacks. **Who Should Come?** Anyone in or around the OWASP, application security, cybersecurity, software engineering, cloud, DevOps, or tech community who wants a relaxed evening outdoors with good people. Bring your spouse, partner, kids, camp chairs, hammock, games, s’mores supplies, and whatever else makes camping fun. **Vibe** Very casual. Very low-pressure. Come for the whole time or just stop by if that works better for you. The goal is simple: hang out, build community, enjoy the mountains, and prove that security people can socialize without turning everything into a risk register.
